Job summary

BBA Consultants is seeking an engineer with a college diploma in electronics/automation to join its team in Canada. The role involves selecting electrical components, preparing datasheets, sizing equipment, and developing engineering deliverables, with potential programming of control systems.

Travel to client sites is regularly required. You will contribute to studies, draft specs and estimates, and provide on-site support during construction.

Qualifications

• College diploma in industrial electronics, automation, instrumentation or robotics or other relevant training.
• Advanced English skills to collaborate with other BBA offices and clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; occasional/daily English use depending on projects.
• Advanced French skills to collaborate with other BBA offices and clients in Québec; asset: experience in a consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Select electrical and control components for projects of all sizes.
• Prepare technical data sheets and size equipment and instruments.
• Develop and prepare engineering deliverables and drawings and possibly program control systems.
• Perform studies and draft technical specifications and estimates (fabrication, construction, purchasing).
• Provide technical assistance during construction (configuration and calibration).
• Check the installation and configuration of components on site (25% of the time).
