Job summary

BBA is seeking an Intermediate Engineer, Automation, and Project Leader in Mont-Saint-Hilaire to drive automation projects from design to commissioning. You will lead engineering mandates, program SCADA/PLC/DCS, and contribute to site work while mentoring a project team.

Requires a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering and Licensure in Quebec, 5–12 years in automation, strong English and French skills, and ability to draft bilingual technical documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and licensing with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
• 5 to 12 years of automation, instrumentation and control experience.
• Experience programming control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS).
• Experience with pre-operational verifications (POVs) and commissioning.
• Advanced English and French skills to collaborate across offices and clients.
• Ability to draft technical documents in English and French.

Overview of job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
• From 5 to 12 years of relevant experience in automation, instrumentation and control
• Experience in programming control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS)
• Experience with pre-operational verifications (POVs) and commissioning
• Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
• Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
• Ability to draft technical documents in both English and French
• Asset: knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS)
