Instructor Therapist - Autism Behaviour Habilitation Services Oakville ON

ABHS provides ABA therapy to children and youth with ASD and other developmental and behavioural challenges. ABHS is committed to providing evidence-based, individualized services that meet the needs of each child and family. Services are offered in-home (Halton and Peel regions) or at The Discovery Centre in Oakville.

We are currently hiring an Instructor Therapist for both Centre and home-based services.

We pride ourselves in providing exceptional behavioural and skills-based programming, which seek the best outcomes for clients and families. Our training and mentoring practices provide an enriching and challenging environment that will nurture and advance Instructor Therapists’ clinical expertise.

Rate: From $22.50 - $25.50 per hour

Job Type: Part-time with potential to increase to full-time

Responsibilities:

• Delivery of ABA therapy to clients aged 2-18 with various abilities and challenging behaviours in-home or in-center
• Create program materials/stimuli for client(s)
• Participate in team meetings
• Monitor and flag clients’ progress as needed to clinical teams
• Data collection and graphing
• Travel may be required within the Halton and Peel Region

Qualifications:

• Behavioral Science certificate/diploma, RBT certification or Undergraduate degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field is a strong asset
• 1 year experience working with individuals with ASD or other developmental or behavioural challenges as an IT
• Strong knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and ABA/IBI
• Superior time management and oral/written communication skills
• Competency in MS Word and Excel
• A commitment to professional development
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle
• Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to clinical integrity while running energetic, creative, enthusiastic, and fun sessions!
