Job Title: Instructor Therapist
Job Type: Hourly (0-40 hrs/ Week)
Wage: $25.57 per hour
Reports to: Program Manager

Woodview’s Brantford’s Autism Services is currently seeking a qualified, skilled and experienced individual to deliver Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) based services both in-center and community as part of our Halton Autism Services team.

We work in direct partnership with children, youth and their families as well as with schools and social service agencies to ensure families are receiving the support they need, when and where they need it.

Job Responsibilities (may Include But Are Not Limited To):
  • Instructor Therapists work one-to-one and in small groups with children and youth with autism. Service hours are generally Monday to Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm with evening shifts from 5-8pm and Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm as required.
  • Working as a part of a team, the Instructor Therapist is responsible for implementing programs under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and/or Senior Therapist.
  • The Instructor Therapist is responsible for keeping accurate data, graphing, and for preparing and creating materials for clients.
  • The Instructor Therapist will provide quality and supportive programming, in addition to contributing to a positive and team-based working environment.
  • The hourly Instructor Therapist position will be available to cover sessions for vacation and staff illness in addition to regularly scheduled sessions each week.
  • The Instructor Therapist may support Woodview Mental Health Day Treatment and Respite programs as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis obtained by completion of the Autism and Behavioral Sciences certificate or equivalent.
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license in addition to insurance on your vehicle to transport clients is required.
  • Minimum 6 months practical/applied experience in the field of ABA.
  • Professional experience working with children with autism.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Practical experience in collecting, graphing and analyzing data.
  • Current certification in first aid, CPR, non-violent crisis prevention intervention (NVCI) is an asset.
  • Experience providing parent coaching; running groups is an asset.
  • French as a second language is considered an asset.
