Zusammenfassung

The Good Samaritan Society is hiring a Cook to prepare, cook, and bake meals for residents, staff and visitors in a healthcare setting. You will ensure sanitation standards and assist with modified/therapeutic diets, following established methods for safe and efficient meal prep.

Two to three years institutional cooking experience and a Food Safe Level 1 certificate are required, with Red Seal or Journeyman Cook preferred. Strong English communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Two to three years institutional cooking experience.
• Red Seal or Journeyman Cook preferred.
• Food Safe Level One certificate required (BC) or equivalent for Alberta employees.
• Experience working with the elderly is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Prepare, cook, and bake food for residents, staff and visitors while ensuring a high standard of sanitation.
• Complete duties related to modified/therapeutic diets and baking preparation following established methods.
• Assist in coordinating meal production and quality/quantity control.
• Participate in the quality assurance program and departmental meetings.
