Job summary

Two to three years of institutional cooking experience are preferred, with a Red Seal or Journeyman Cook preferred and a Food Safe Level 1 certificate required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of quality food standards and quantity controls.
• Experience working with the elderly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and bake food for residents, staff and visitors with high sanitation standards.
• Follow modified/therapeutic diet requirements and established methods.
• Coordinate meal production and quality/quantity control.
• Participate in quality assurance program and departmental meetings.
