Job summary

The North of Superior Healthcare Group is seeking a casual Cook for the McCausland Hospital site, with immediate openings. The role involves cooking and serving food in accordance with guidelines under the supervision of the Environmental Services Manager and First Cook.

DUTIES

Under the general supervision of the Environmental Services Manager, and the general direction of the First Cook, cook 2 performs skilled work related to the preparation, cooking and serving of food in accordance with established guidelines.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

• OSSGD (Grade 12)
• Food Service Worker Course or have Red Seal certification (an asset)
• Safe Food Handling Course (an asset)

ABILITIES

• Good organizational skills
• Experience in institutional cooking (certified course an asset)
• Must be prepared to work rotating shifts and willing/able to work weekends

LANGUAGE

• English (bilingual an asset)
