Job summary

The Good Samaritan Vista Village in Pincher Creek, AB is seeking a casual cook to prepare, cook, and bake meals for residents, staff and guests. You will maintain high sanitation standards and assist with meal production and quality control.

Two to three years of institutional cooking experience is preferred, along with Red Seal or Journeyman Cook qualification and Food Safe Level 1. English communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Red Seal or Journeyman Cook preferred.
• 2–3 years institutional cooking experience.
• Food safety level 1 certificate required (BC Alberta rules).
• Knowledge of quality food standards and quantity controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and bake food for residents, staff and visitors.
• Ensure high sanitation standards in food preparation and handling.
• Assist in coordinating meal production and quality and quantity control.
• Participate in quality assurance program and departmental meetings.
