Job summary

Wesco in Burnaby, Canada is seeking a Representative - Inside Sales to engage with existing customers, growing orders and upselling products and services. You will collaborate with outside sales to meet goals and ensure customer satisfaction through proactive selling and expanding your book of accounts.

The role requires 2–4 years in sales/sales administration, proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a team setting.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2–4 years in sales and sales administration; fully competent professional contributor.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.
• Travel 0–25%.

Responsibilities

• Obtains orders through email and telephone calls, verifies and enters items, transfers orders to fulfillment, explains stock-outs and delivery dates.
• Increases orders by suggesting related items, explains features, and checks customer buying history.
• Owns, qualifies and develops opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
• Identifies ways to improve processes for efficiency.
• Prepares and follows up on quotations to secure orders or determine loss reasons.
• Reviews open customer order reports and acts on items at risk for on-time delivery.
• Maintains backorder reports and customer expediting notices and notifications.
• Reports industry trends, pricing, and customer feedback to management.
