Job description

Ontario Wholesale Energy (“OWE”) is a boutique natural gas and electricity retailer providing price stability, leveraged index, and structured physical products to small, medium, and large commercial consumers in Ontario. With over 32,000 commercial customer sites, OWE is recognized as a premier provider of load-following natural gas and electricity products at competitive prices.

We are seeking a trustworthy and responsible individual to join our rapidly growing Wholesale Energy Sales Team!

What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary of $50,000/year plus large volume upfront commissions and residual commissions at $20 per RCE, with incremental increases based on performance (average total commissions range from $30,000/year to $150,000/year)
  • Performance reviews every 4 months with opportunities for bonuses and salary increases
  • Health benefits package after 3 months, paid sick days, and generous paid time off and holidays (2 to 5 weeks annually)

What We Are Looking For
  • A candidate who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, and results-driven. Many of our Inside Sales Specialists double or triple their income through our tools, training, development, and leadership guidance.
  • Acts with integrity and upholds high professional and ethical standards
  • Team-focused, consistently exceeds daily, weekly, monthly, and RCE quotas, collaborates with Outside Sales, and adheres to all corporate sales policies

  • Strong ethical sales approach with the ability to prospect and grow a book of business, demonstrating features of OWE's products and services, and a proven track record of exceeding quotas
  • Excellent phone presence with experience making 100-150 calls daily to potential customers and following up on leads
  • Self-prospecting skills to maximize productivity and achieve minimum requirements, with daily communication with team members and mentors
  • Effective time management, goal setting, and drive to meet sales objectives
  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications is not required but considered an asset
