Job summary

Grand River Personnel is seeking an Industrial Recruiter to build relationships with job seekers and clients, manage full-cycle recruitment, and thrive in a fast-paced office.

This permanent, full-time, in-office position requires daytime availability with no remote or hybrid option. You will screen and interview candidates, match them to opportunities, maintain recruiting databases, and ensure onboarding and safety policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree from a recognized college or university in HR, business, administration or office management preferred.
• Previous recruitment, staffing, HR, administrative or customer service experience is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confident, outgoing and professional with strong customer-service focus.
• Highly organized with time-management and follow-up skills.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety and WHMIS requirements.
• Strong computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with Canva and Meta Business Suite is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment: reviewing applications, screening candidates, interviewing, and matching to opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with candidates and clients.
• Communicate staffing needs and provide recruitment support to clients.
• Source and follow up with candidates to meet open roles.
• Complete new employee files and maintain information in the recruiting database.
• Review onboarding, safety policies, and workplace requirements with new hires.
• Follow up on attendance, assignments, timesheets, and employment matters.
• Operate a multi-line phone system and manage daily emails.
• Maintain documentation and ensure WSIB, health & safety processes are followed.
• Collaborate with the recruitment team to meet client and candidate needs.
