Stantec in Atlantic Canada invites an Intermediate Hydrogeologist to join our team. You will conduct field investigations, develop groundwater models, and deliver technical reports while collaborating with environmental professionals.

The role emphasizes growth, mentorship, and client engagement, with opportunities to contribute to business development and project planning in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geoscience, or Engineering.
• 5–10 years of consulting or regulatory experience with hydrogeologic data.
• Existing professional registration (P.Geo. or P.Eng.).

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices and adhere to guidelines for planning and executing field work.
• Perform field investigations including drilling, well construction, sampling, and water-level monitoring.
• Produce geological cross-sections and groundwater contour maps.
• Interpret aquifer tests and characterize aquifers using maps and spatial data.
• Develop conceptual and analytical hydrogeologic models.
• Perform data analysis and visualization using GIS and 3D visualization tools.
• Manage and/or develop groundwater models using MODFLOW or FEFLOW.
• Prepare technical reports detailing investigations and results.
• Deliver presentations of hydrogeologic investigations internally.
• Contribute to project budgets, scopes, and schedules.
• Travel to field sites with overnight travel.
• Support business development activities and client relationship building.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to junior staff.
