Job summary

Stantec in Atlantic Canada seeks an Intermediate Hydrogeologist to lead groundwater-related projects, including hydrogeologic assessments, groundwater supply development, and protection initiatives. You will manage field investigations, data analysis, and modeling efforts while contributing to client deliverables and business development.

The role requires expertise in MODFLOW/FEFLOW, GIS, and interpretation of aquifer tests, with a path toward mentorship of junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in groundwater from Hydrogeology, Geoscience, or Engineering

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices and adhere to guidelines
• Conduct field investigations including drilling, well construction, sampling, and water level monitoring
• Produce geological cross-sections and groundwater contour maps
• Interpret aquifer tests and perform spatial analysis using GIS
• Develop conceptual and analytical hydrogeologic models
• Create 3D data visualizations and manage groundwater models using MODFLOW/FEFLOW
• Prepare technical reports and present findings internally
• Support project budgets, scopes, and schedules
• Travel to field sites with overnight travel as needed
• Contribute to business development and client relationship building
• Provide supervision and mentorship to junior staff
