Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years of experience in Transmission projects.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in ON or another Canadian province.
• Proficient in design/analysis software and CAD systems; familiarity with drawing standards.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.
• Experience in scope, schedule and cost control for design tasks.
• Integrity, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop safe engineering solutions for medium complexity utilities projects.
• Assist management in meeting safety, cost, quality and schedule targets.
• Resolve technical design and field engineering problems through independent studies.
• Contribute to engineering practices by studies, standards, and guidance to other engineers.
• Deliver engineering scope with clients, establish criteria, approve documentation, and report progress.
• Design overhead line structures for 60kV–500kV in an electric utility environment.
• Prepare project documentation including reports, specifications, and test plans.
• Develop work packages with scope, duration and effort estimates; manage tasks.
• Provide signed and sealed deliverables as Professional of Record.
• Offer technical assistance, construction support, and field reviews.
• Perform structural design and detailing for transmission cables and related facilities.
• Apply loads, seismic analysis, and ensure compliance with standards.
