Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Mechanical/Process Engineer to lead and perform design work for nuclear power plants. The role involves preparing design basis documents, reviewing engineering change packages, mentoring junior engineers, and interfacing with customer teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years in mechanical/chemical engineering, 10+ in nuclear, and be a registered P.Eng in Ontario, with ASME and CNSC experience.

Qualifications

• Senior Mechanical/Process Engineer with 15+ years of experience; 10+ in nuclear.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario; ASME/Nuclear codes knowledge.
• Experience interfacing with CNSC and TSSA; ECC processes.
• Experience leading engineers and managing design changes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review design basis documents for nuclear and conventional systems.
• Prepare and review Engineering Change packages following ECC processes.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Perform calculations and assessments as required.
• UpdateEng progress, performance and staffing to Engineering Management.
• Interface with Customer’s engineering representatives to ensure standards and regulatory requirements are met.
