Job summary
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Instrumentation, Control & Electrical Engineer in Mississauga to lead design, testing, commissioning, and field deployment of specialized nuclear tooling systems for reactor refurbishment and maintenance.
The role covers PLC, HMI, SCADA, LabVIEW, and data acquisition development, deliverable reviews, and mentoring of junior engineers, with travel to customer sites and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, Instrumentation, Software, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in instrumentation, controls, automation, or electrical engineering.
- Experience with commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and field support activities.
- Strong Siemens PLC and WinCC/LabVIEW expertise.
- Ability to lead design reviews, documentation, and project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, integration, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation, control, automation, and electrical systems for nuclear tooling.
- Develop PLC, HMI, SCADA, LabVIEW, and data acquisition applications.
- Prepare and review requirements, design docs, test procedures, and manuals.
- Provide field support during deployment, outages, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
