Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Technical Manager to lead a team of computer (I&C) engineers in design activities for safety-critical control systems in a nuclear context. You will oversee the design process, coordinate interfaces, and ensure QA and regulatory requirements are met.

The role requires a P.Eng. in Ontario (asset), 10+ years in relevant projects, and 5+ years in leadership, with strong governance and stakeholder collaboration. Hybrid work and site travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer or electrical engineering, or related field from an accredited University.
• Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario would be an asset.
• 10+ years' experience on varied projects including engineering services, refurbishments, and/or new build construction.
• 5+ years' experience leading engineering teams.
• Experience with cyber security for Operational Technology is an asset.
• Experience delivering an overall plant control system design for a power production facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead design process from concept to preliminary to detailed design.
• Plan and execute work to meet quality, cost and schedule targets.
• Coordinate computer design activities for NSP and BOP interfaces in a nuclear plant.
• Provide technical guidance to staff and ensure QA procedures are followed.
• Forecast resource demands and manage project budgets and timelines.
• Oversee 10–20 computer engineering staff and interface with stakeholders across engineering, procurement, and construction.
