AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineering professional to guide design and construction for complex programs at Canadian facilities. You will ensure compliance with codes, conduct reviews, and oversee FAP processes while coordinating interfaces across disciplines.

The role requires strong technical expertise in mechanical systems, regulatory knowledge, and effective stakeholder communication. A hybrid work culture and opportunities for professional growth are offered.

Competenze

Recognized degree in mechanical engineering; professional designation is an asset.
Aviation experience is considered an asset.
Experience defining functional and technical specifications and requirements management.
Knowledge of scope definition, project planning, cost estimation, scheduling, testing, commissioning, turnover, quality control and reporting.
Understanding stakeholder/regulatory requirements including ICAO, Transport Canada, airport operations, UL, and Health & Safety.
Knowledge of ISO 55001 Asset Management standard.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, project scheduling software, Maximo, ProjectWise, Oracle ERP, Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills including facilitating meetings with large groups.

Mansioni

Provides advice and SME guidance throughout planning, design, and delivery of mechanical systems design and construction.
Ensures compliance with technical requirements, reviews designs, submittals and testing.
Conducts Facility Alteration Permit (FAP) reviews for renovations, alterations and new construction.
Provides non-resident engineering expertise through field inspections during construction.
Supports governance and process documentation for mechanical systems program practices.
Assesses alternative technical proposals and aligns them with GTAA requirements.
Coordinates technical elements and interfaces across disciplines to ensure integration.
Reviews contractor deliverables for codes and standards compliance.
Monitors designer input during construction (RFIs, shop drawings, approvals, punch lists).
Provides management-level progress reports on mechanical design progress, issues, and opportunities.
Coaches, mentors and supports GTAA staff career development.
