Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Mississauga, ON is seeking a Mechanical Analyst/Engineer to support CANDU Field Services with independent work across design, manufacturing, testing, installation, and field execution. The role includes travel to sites and contributes to project delivery using solid engineering judgment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Aerospace Engineering and CAD experience (Solid Edge or SolidWorks).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• CAD experience with Solid Edge or SolidWorks is an asset.
• A current P.Eng. licence is an asset.
• Commitment to safety, quality, integrity, customer focus, teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with mechanical equipment, tooling, machine design, equipment layouts, design documentation, manufacturing support, testing, installation, or troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Perform conceptual and detailed design engineering for mechanical equipment, tooling, and systems.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including calculations, specs, test plans, and drawings.
• Review vendor drawings, calculations, procedures, and manufacturing records for compliance.
• Support machine design, mechanical systems, process control interfaces, and testing activities.
• Provide project engineering support including coordination of activities, interfaces, deliverables, schedules, and technical inputs.
• Travel to project sites, both domestic and international, to support field services projects.
