Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Junior Mechanical Machine CAD Designer to support nuclear projects in Ontario, including new builds and refurbishments. The role involves producing CAD drawings, 3D models, and deliverables in line with QA programs, codes, and client requirements.

Ideal candidates have a college diploma and 2 years of mechanical design/drafting experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• College diploma or equivalent with 2 years in mechanical design and drafting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documents in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Solid Edge, SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
• Create precise 3D models using Model-Based Definition (MBD).
• Follow client file management system for document storage.
• Prepare engineering deliverables for nuclear and conventional systems.
• Apply relevant Codes & Standards and coordinate with design team.
• Interface with Engineering teams through lifecycle of the design project.
• Revise existing drawings/3D models from instructions.
• Continue to learn CAD techniques through training.
• Ensure CAD file configuration management and storage.
• Prepare drawings/3D models of minimal complexity; implement design changes.
• Perform other related duties.
