Job summary

Sinai Health Foundation is seeking a Gift Processing Officer (Contract) in downtown Toronto. The role handles a wide range of donor gifts and contributions, ensuring accurate recording, compliance, and timely receipts.

You will work with the Finance team and report to the Director, Finance in a hybrid office setting. The position requires at least two years in gift processing or accounting, familiarity with Raiser's Edge, and strong data management skills, accuracy, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business administration, accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Raiser's Edge or similar databases and data management.
• Ability to manage gift processing functions accurately and confidentially.

Responsibilities

• Process gifts via mail, phone, and online for Sinai Health Foundation and related foundations.
• Ensure donor data quality for major gifts, annual giving, events, and monthly donors.
• Support gift imports and update payment information across platforms.
• Code incoming donation revenue by foundation and designation.
• Reconcile online donation platforms daily and weekly.
• Generate tax receipts and thank-you letters per guidelines.
• File and archive donation documents for audit trail.
• Respond to fundraising inquiries about gift recording or splits.
• Maintain knowledge of Raiser's Edge functions and processes.
