Job summary

Sinai Health Foundation in Toronto is seeking a Gift Processing Officer (Contract) to manage donation records and receipts. You will process gifts from multiple channels, ensure donor data accuracy, and support imports across the Foundation and related organizations.

The role requires 2+ years in gift processing, Raiser's Edge experience, and strong data management skills. This hybrid in-office position is based in downtown Toronto with regular desk days.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business administration, accounting or finance, or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in gift processing or accounting, preferably in the philanthropy sector.
• Experience with Raiser's Edge or another relational database, and an aptitude for data management and analysis.
• Proven ability to effectively manage day-to-day gift processing functions.
• Keen understanding of current finance and accounting principles in the philanthropy sector.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Able to meet deadlines, be self-motivated, and work independently.
• Able to work with sensitive information with absolute discretion and a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
• Accuracy, attention to detail and a customer service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Process gifts received via multiple channels - mail, phone calls, online - for Sinai Health Foundation and related Foundations
• Ensure quality, integrity and accuracy of donor information for portfolios such as major gifts, annual giving, events and third-party portals, stock donations, gifts-in-kind and monthly donors processed through EFT
• Support gift imports from external sources across all three Foundations, ensuring correct and timely recordkeeping, and updated payment information
• Ensure accurate coding of incoming donation revenue by Foundation and designation
• Reconcile multiple online donation platforms on a daily and weekly basis
• Generate thank you letters and charitable tax receipts in accordance with Foundation guidelines
• File and archive all electronic and hard copy donation documents to support a complete audit trail
• Respond to fundraising teams regarding inquiries related to how gifts are recorded or split
• Maintain knowledge of Raiser's Edge database functions, organizational processes and procedures.
