Job summary

Messagepoint is seeking a Payroll and Accounting Specialist to support payroll and finance operations across Canada and the United States. This role handles Canadian and U.S.

payroll processing, accounts payable, accruals, cash management, and month-end close with strong attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and deadlines. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of payroll and accounting experience, knowledge of Canadian and U.S.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary education in Accounting, Finance, Payroll Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of five years of progressive payroll and accounting experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing Canadian and U.S. payrolls, including multi-state U.S. payroll.

Responsibilities

• Support semi-monthly Canadian and U.S. payroll processing, including submissions, remittances, reconciliations, adjustments, and journal entries.
• Maintain payroll documentation related to hires, terminations, and changes.
• Monitor payroll compliance and resolve notices and discrepancies.
