Job summary

AppDirect, Inc. seeks a meticulous Canada-based Benefits & Payroll Administrator to own end-to-end payroll and benefits for multiple US entities. You will ensure accurate, on-time pay and robust benefits administration across plans while maintaining strict data confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in US payroll processing and benefits administration, with multi-state, multi-entity exposure.
• Strong working knowledge of federal/state payroll tax regulations and benefits compliance (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, 401(k)).
• Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms such as ADP, Paylocity, Gusto, Rippling, or similar.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets；VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, reconciliations.
• FPC, CPP, or CEBS certification is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end payroll administration for multiple US-based entities, including regular, off-cycle, and ad hoc runs.
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, tax withholdings, and payroll transactions.
• Manage multi-state payroll tax registrations, closures, filings, and compliance (SUI/SIT).
• Lead year-end activities including W-2 preparation and reconciliation.
• Serve as liaison with payroll vendors and resolve processing issues promptly.
• Audit payroll and benefits records to maintain data integrity.
