Job summary

Grainger Canada is seeking an Account Manager to drive positive sales growth across a defined geography, managing an average portfolio of 40–45 current accounts and about $2M in annual revenue. You will use Salesforce to perform all daily activities and report to the District Sales Manager.

You will build account penetration with regular business reviews, understand customer goals, and respond to market changes with agility to grow profitable sales.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2+ years direct outside sales experience (or equivalent inside sales or marketing experience) required.
• Travel to customers within aligned market at least once per month.
• Strong planning and pipeline development skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer goals and respond to changing customer needs.
• Demonstrate market data knowledge to respond quickly to developments in the customer's business.
• Oversee managed inventory support to increase sales and contacts with customers.
• Understand Grainger's Value Proposition and provide solutions to grow profitable sales.
• Develop account penetration strategies with regular business reviews for essential customers to maximize sales.
