Job summary

Atlantica, part of The Cahill Group, is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead our service operations team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. You will oversee service delivery, support field technicians, and foster strong customer relationships.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will manage daily operations, dispatch, site visits, safety, and collaboration with the Business Development team on proposals and contracts.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary technical diploma or degree in HVAC or related field.
• Five or more years in a supervisory role within HVAC or mechanical services.
• Experience preparing estimates, quotations and service proposals.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprint specifications.
• Experience with unionized trades is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support HVAC service technicians and service department staff to ensure safety, productive and quality performance.
• Manage daily service operations and oversee dispatch activities.
• Visit job sites regularly to monitor progress, ensure quality standards, and provide technical support.
• Support technicians in resolving technical and operational issues.
• Serve as secondary point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships that promote long-term customer retention and business growth.
• Review technicians service reports and related documentation for accuracy.
• Coordinate material procurement and inventory requirements for scheduled work.
• Promote safe work practices and maintain a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all applicable safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Review and approve maintenance agreements, service proposals prepared by the Business Development team.
• Prepare quotations, estimates and proposals for service-related project opportunities.
• Assist the Business Development team with customer meetings, site visits, project assessments, and contract discussions.
