Description

The Human Resource Business Partner is a key leadership role within Michels Canada, responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management, including employee relations, policies, programs, and practices to enhance organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety policies and regulations, and addressing workplace hazards.
  • Design, develop, implement, and improve HR programs and policies across multiple areas, including recruitment, both within Canada and internationally.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive work culture through employee engagement initiatives and positive relations.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to functional leads and handle escalated employee issues.
  • Offer HR best practice consultations to leaders and business units.
  • Manage employee concerns and grievances fairly and promptly, guiding managers and staff on HR policies and procedures.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting and evaluations.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and analyze compensation data for adjustments.
  • Develop and update HR policies in compliance with employment laws.
  • Ensure legal compliance at all levels.
  • Promote Michels Canada's culture and core values through leading by example and fostering trust and professional connections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, with 5+ years HR experience or equivalent.
  • Experience in recruitment and onboarding.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Valid passport with ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • International experience is a plus.
Languages
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
