Job summary

Novo is seeking a human resources advisor to join during a maternity leave replacement. The role offers hybrid work from our Quebec City office and a chance to contribute to a caring, organized HR team.

You will handle screening, interviews support, benefits administration, training coordination, and HR policy administration while collaborating on internal communications and employee committees. A strong organizational ability and discretion are essential.

Responsibilities

• Participate in visibility and screening activities for job prospects, including pre-screening and tests, and support interviews and offers.
• Coordinate administrative HR elements across hiring and employee life (letters, documents, welcome plans).
• Assist with benefits administration and retirement plan management.
• Support training coordination and monitoring.
• Help administer HR policies on absences, returns, probation, and annual evaluations.
• Contribute to internal HR communications and committees (health, safety, wellbeing).
• Maintain HR software, extract data, and support HR process improvements.

Job description

Novo is looking for a human resources advisor to complete its team as part of a maternity leave replacement. You will be able to work in hybrid mode from our Quebec office.

Responsibilities

The selected person will carry out the following tasks:

• You will participate in visibility and display activities for job prospects, including the pre-selection of applications and the administration of tests and other selection stages and will accompany managers in selection interviews and determination of the job offer
• You will coordinate administrative elements hiring and other stages of employee life (letters, legal documents, welcome plans, etc.)
• You will participate in the administration of social benefits as well as the retirement plan
• You will participate in the coordination and monitoring of training activities
• You will participate in the administration of human resources policies, such as absences and returns to work (sickness, maternity and others), evaluations annual and trial period (probation), etc.
• You will collaborate in the drafting of internal communications related to human resources activities
• You will collaborate on activities related to the various employee committees (health and safety, social activities, health and well-being)
• You will keep the human resources management software up to date and extract data according to the organizational needs
• You will participate in various development projects aimed at improving HR processes and internal tools

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or relations management industrial
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in human resources
• Member of the Order of approved human resources advisors
• Experience in staffing (an asset)
• Know how to demonstrate discretion and professionalism
• Know how to use IT tools (Microsoft Office 365, social networks, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication
