Job summary

Corbec seeks an HR Advisor for our Drummondville plant to manage HR matters including recruitment, health and safety, employee relations, training, and wellbeing. This role blends hands-on tasks with strategic thinking to build a strong, people-centered culture that meets high standards.

You will participate in safety committees, handle employee relations, manage staffing, draft communications, and ensure policy compliance. Fluency in French is required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HRM, IR, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Min. 2 years of HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of Quebec HR laws and standards.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in H&S committee and support policies.
• Support employee relations, disciplinary cases and documents.
• Lead recruitment and staffing activities.

What you will do on a daily basis: Health and Safety - Actively participate in the joint health and safety committee and contribute to the implementation of appropriate action plans and policies. Employee Relations - Support the HR department in managing disciplinary cases, complaints, and disputes, including preparing the required documents. Recruitment and Staffing

Internal Communication

• Draft, revise, and distribute HR communications (memos, appointment announcements, internal policies, etc.).
• Maintain up-to-date internal policies and procedures in collaboration with the HR department.

Employee Engagement and Recognition

• Support the Operations Manager and Production Manager in organizing recognition and Mobilization.

Compliance and Administration

• Ensure compliance with applicable HR laws and regulations.
• Track hours worked and maintain confidential files.
• Participate in employee training management.
• Provide quality service to employees, candidates, and suppliers/consultants.
• Any other related tasks.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and meticulousness in Management of confidential information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Good knowledge of applicable HR laws and standards in Quebec.
• Fluent French; knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
