About the Role

We’re seeking a seasoned Human Resource Generalist to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in fostering a positive work environment while supporting the company’s strategic goals.

Our client is a national leader in the sale and rental of heavy equipment, providing parts and services for all major brands across Canada. They are currently looking for a bilingual HR Generalist to join their Mississauga team.

Tasks
  1. Develop and implement HR policies aligned with business objectives.
  2. Manage employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and ensure legal compliance.
  3. Ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations.
  4. Build strong relationships with employees and management to improve morale and retention.
  5. Partner with hiring managers on recruitment strategies and staffing forecasts.
  6. Handle workplace complaints and lead investigations.
  7. Prepare HR reports and data analysis for management.
  8. Maintain accurate employee records for payroll and benefits.
  9. Conduct exit interviews and analyze retention data.
  10. Audit timekeeping records for payroll accuracy.
  11. Administer benefits, including new hires, terminations, and leaves.
  12. Coordinate employee recognition programs.
  13. Perform other HR duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  1. 4-5 years of experience in a senior HR role, preferably in a multi-regional, fast-paced environment.
  2. Experience in the heavy equipment industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of Canadian employment laws and compliance.
  4. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  5. Bilingual in English and French.
  6. CHRL designation in progress is an asset.
  7. Labor relations experience is an asset.

  2. Autonomous, self-motivated, and capable of leading projects.
  3. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
