Endress+Hauser Canada was founded on May 1st, 1990. The company's main office is in Burlington, Ontario and additional offices are in Montreal, Quebec, Calgary & Edmonton, Alberta. Our Channel Partners and Authorized Service Partners provide coverage and support across Canada.

We are looking for a Human Resource Generalist/Business Partner to join our group. As an HR Generalist/HR Business Partner, you provide comprehensive support to resolve employee relations issues, answer questions with policies, programs, and procedures. Other responsibilities include recruitment, absence management and exit interviews. You also actively recommend process enhancements to elevate our human resource function.

Which tasks will you perform?

  • Advise managers in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
  • Lead the awareness of policies, procedures, and programs and their effect on employee engagement and retention
  • Administer exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations and opportunities for improvement
  • Serve as front line resource for responding to and solving employee concerns and providing coaching
  • Partner with internal customers to improve the capability of the human resources department to respond to their needs
  • Responsible for HR SharePoint and Intranet page
  • Assist with Salary administration and performance management topics
  • Prepare and maintain employee handbook, ensuring compliance and updating as needed.
  • In collaboration with the HR Manager & line managers, assist with the recruitment and selection processes including updating position descriptions, preparing postings, screening resumes.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable legislation including employment standards and OH&S
  • Support and promote corporate objectives and act as a resource to Management and associates.
  • Serve as backup to HR Coordinator for HR related administrative duties such as payroll and systems maintenance
  • Administers the company’s fleet vehicles including vehicle assignments, credit cards, maintenance, leasing and year end taxable benefit reporting.
  • Address employees’ HR or Payroll related questions and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Experience working within an ISO Certified company an asset.
  • Knowledge of HR-related laws and regulations an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bilingualism in English & French is a requirement.
