Job summary

Town of Tillsonburg is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for a 12-18 month contract. The role oversees biweekly payroll, full cycle recruitment, onboarding, benefits and pension administration, HRIS maintenance, and records management.

The candidate will support labour relations and compliance while promoting a healthy work environment. Requires 2 years HR/Payroll experience and a diploma in HR or related field.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of Human Resources/Payroll experience.
• College Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline.
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification an asset; CHRP an asset.
• Working knowledge of OHSA, Employment Standards Act, WSIA, HR Code, Pay Equity.

Responsibilities

• Administer biweekly payroll functions and ensure timely submission.
• Oversee full cycle recruitment including shortlisting and interviews.
• Manage benefits and pension administration; payroll data integrity.
• Maintain HRIS databases and personnel files accurately.
• Onboarding, records management, and compliance with policies.
• Support labour relations and return-to-work programs.
