Light Magazine is seeking an HR Coordinator in Surrey, BC to manage recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and benefits administration. The role upholds a Christian education focus and requires active participation in a Pentecostal/Charismatic faith and local church involvement.

The successful candidate will handle HR operations, provide staff support, ensure policy compliance, and contribute to a positive employee experience in a faith-based educational environment.

• Provide a current Criminal Record Check
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite
• Strong organizational, prioritization and multitasking abilities
• Support Pentecostal/Charismatic faith statement and church involvement

Mansioni

• Assist in recruitment: job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, background checks
• Coordinate onboarding for new hires: documentation, orientations, transition to school
• Draft and review employment contracts for new hires and updated contracts
• Maintain employee records in Payworks and physical files; handle confidential information
• Support benefits administration: enrollment, changes, terminations, inquiries
• Provide day-to-day HR support on policies, procedures, and programs
• Ensure compliance with provincial and federal employment laws and school policies; assist with audits and reports
• Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate staff payroll processing and vacation coverage
