Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience as HR Intern, Office Coordinator, or Recruitment Assistant.

CMLS Financial is looking for a HR Coordinator to join our growing team in Toronto, Calgary, or Montreal on an 18 month contract basis. Our successful candidate will possess superior communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage their time effectively while completing high quality, detailed work in a fast-paced work environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an emerging HR professional to gain generalist type experience and advance their career.

Some of the duties and responsibilities you’ll have will include:
  • Partner with the HR team and our managers to execute HR programs and work on new HR initiatives to meet our business needs.
  • Manage the on/off-boarding and change process (i.e. send paperwork, data entry information into HR system, etc.).
  • Complete scheduled and ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests related to employee data, including fulfilling audit requests.
  • Support the execution of annual HR programs including performance management, policy sign-off, government reporting, employee recognition, etc.
  • Foster an open and connected culture by being approachable, knowledgeable and customer service focused.
  • Support the recruitment team and payroll team and/or other special projects, as needed.
This role is for you if:
  • Your are Bilingual in French and English
  • You have completed a university or college degree and have an interest in building a career in HR.
  • You are exceptionally client focused and service orientated, and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with staff.
  • You are detail oriented, and good with numbers & spreadsheets.
  • You have at least 1 year of combined experience as an HR Intern, Office Coordinator, and/or Recruitment Assistant.
  • You possess intermediate technical skills using Microsoft Applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • You are flexible, adaptable and interested in working for a growing and fast-paced organization.
  • You have sound judgment; ability to use discretion and diplomacy when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues;
  • You exhibit strong communication and presentation skills with a high degree of professionalism;
Nice to haves:
  • You are working towards a professional HR designation (i.e. CHRP/CPHR).
  • Experience working in an HCM or HRIS
  • Working experience with Employment Standards is considered an asset, including Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, Manitoba, Nova Scotia.
  • Experience using Visio, SharePoint, PowerPivot, and advanced Excel skills (i.e. Pivot Tables) is considered an asset.
