About The Role

On-site | Full-time

This position supports the recruiting process, administrative functions, employee relations, and communication within the ALS Human Resources Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to routine calls and emails from employees
  • Handle requests for information from external sources (reference checks, personnel files, wage info, etc.)
  • Support recruitment activities
  • Ensure adherence to recruitment policies and procedures
  • Assist with offer letters to candidates
  • Coordinate new hire orientation
  • Maintain and update employee files
  • Ensure HR forms, policies, and manuals are current
  • Organize employee relations events and internal communications
  • Support organizational development initiatives
  • Assist with other HR projects
  • Follow safety regulations and ALS policies
  • Code and submit invoices for payment
  • Support recognition and reward programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
About You
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Judgment, creativity, integrity, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Ability to handle escalations and time-sensitive issues
Required Qualifications
  • Diploma or university degree preferred
  • Experience in customer service or office administration is an asset
Physical Demands
  • Ability to perform sedentary office work
  • Use of computer for up to 8 hours daily
  • Effective communication via phone and email
