Job summary

Andaz Ottawa by Hyatt, part of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, is seeking a Part-time House Person to join the housekeeping team. You’ll deliver spotless, welcoming spaces and assist guests with courtesy and care to create memorable stays.

Responsibilities include cleaning, restocking, and assisting with safety and maintenance reporting, with flexible hours based on hotel needs. Perks include complimentary meals, night discounts, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to understand cleaning orders and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, sanitation practices, and safe handling.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and restocking in guest areas.
• Dusting furniture, disposing of trash, and maintaining supply levels.
• Strip and remake beds, restock linen and report maintenance issues.

What is expected of me in this role?

Operational

• Vacuuming guest hallway floors, sweeping and mopping service spaces
• Dust and polish furniture and fittings
• Empty and clean trash containers and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
• Restocking and maintaining supplies on a daily basis.
• Stripping beds and restocking linen
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards. Observe and report damage of hotel property

Customer Service:

• Respond to guest queries and requests and provide exceptional guest service at all times

Security and Safety:

• Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms
• Follow all company safety and security procedures

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is regularly required to sit; stand; bend; walk; reach, pull, use hands or finger; or feel objects, tools or controls; may need to lift boxes (up to 30 lbs);

Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, are based on the hotel's operational needs.

• Ability to understand service orders and requirements
• Ability to learn cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods, and cleaning sensitive materials
