Job summary
Andaz Ottawa is seeking a part-time House Person for its Housekeeping team. The role supports creating spotless, inviting rooms and guiding guests to a memorable stay through attentive service. You will work on cleaning, restocking, and safety duties while upholding Hyatt standards.
Flex hours include evenings and weekends to match hotel operations. Training is provided, and opportunities for growth are highlighted by the program’s recognition and development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Understand service orders and requirements.
- Learn cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods, and cleaning sensitive materials.
- Learn how to operate cleaning equipment.
- Work in a team with integrity and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Vacuuming guest hallway floors, sweeping and mopping service spaces.
- Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
- Empty and clean trash containers and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
- Restocking and maintaining supplies on a daily basis.
- Stripping beds and restocking linen.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
- Observe and report damage of hotel property.
- Respond to guest queries and requests and provide exceptional guest service at all times.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms.
- Follow all company safety and security procedures.

- While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is regularly required to sit; stand; bend; walk; reach, pull, use hands or finger; or feel objects, tools or controls; may need to lift boxes (up to 30 lbs);
