Job summary

Andaz Ottawa is seeking a courteous Valet attendant to welcome guests and manage vehicle parking with care. You will relocate guest cars to designated locations and assist guests loading and unloading luggage, ensuring a positive first and last impression.

The role requires standing for extended periods, occasional outdoor work, and flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Prior valet experience and a valid Ontario license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a valet attendant or in a similar role.
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and clean driving record/abstract.
• Proficient in using valet management software and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with professionalism and courtesy upon their arrival.
• Receive and park guests' vehicles in a safe and organized manner.
• Retrieve guests' vehicles promptly and accurately upon request.
• Maintain cleanliness and orders in the valet area as well as keeping the keys safe and organized.
• Assist guests with information about local attractions and hotel services.
• Provide information about parking rates, policies, and hotel facilities
• Stay informed about hotel events, promotions, and guest services.
• Collect valet parking fees and accurately record transactions.
• Ensure the security of guests' vehicles and report any concerns promptly.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents.
• This role involves standing for extended periods and occasional outdoor work.
• While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is regularly required to sit; stand; bend; walk; use hands or finger; or feel objects, tools or controls; may need to lift boxes (up to 20 lbs)
• Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, are based on the hotel's operational needs.
