Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a Casual Housekeeping Aide for the Churchill Health Centre. The role supports housekeeping and laundry services under the Manager of Support Services, with shifts including days, evenings and weekends.

The position operates in person with 8.00 hours daily and 2080 annual base hours. Ideal candidates have prior hospital housekeeping experience, Grade 12 or equivalent, and a current satisfactory criminal record check; willingness to obtain Vulnerable

• Knowledge of WHMIS is required or advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties as directed to maintain a clean hospital environment.
• Ensure proper infection prevention and control practices are followed.
• Assist with general facility cleaning tasks and reporting any issues to the supervisor.

Position Overview

Under the direction of the Manager of Support Services, the Housekeeping Aide is responsible for the housekeeping and laundry services of the Churchill Regional Health Authority.

Experience

• Previous housekeeping experience working in a hospital setting.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member.
• Knowledge and/or certification in WHMIS.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
