Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority invites applications for a Housekeeping Aide at Churchill Health Centre. The role includes housekeeping and laundry services under the direction of the Manager of Support Services, performed in person.

We seek individuals with hospital housekeeping experience, Grade 12 or equivalent, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. WHMIS certification is preferred. This is a 1.0 FTE, 8-hour daily shift with usual benefits in a hospital setting.

Position Overview

Under the direction of the Manager of Support Services, the Housekeeping Aide is responsible for the housekeeping and laundry services of the Churchill Regional Health Authority.

Experience

• Previous housekeeping experience working in a hospital setting.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member.
• Knowledge and/or certification in WHMIS.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
