Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking a compassionate housekeeper to provide non-medical, in-home support to clients in the Victoria area. You will offer companionship, light housekeeping, and help clients stay safe and independent in their homes.

Responsibilities include following each client's Plan of Care, documenting care notes, and maintaining confidentiality. CPR/First Aid and a valid driver's license are preferred; reliable transportation is an asset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are assets.

Position Summary

The housekeeper provides companionship, emotional support, and light household assistance to clients while following each client's individualized Plan of Care. This role plays an important part in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care based on each client's Plan of Care


• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement


• Support clients’ emotional well-being and mental alertness


• Assist with light housekeeping duties including:


• Vacuuming


• Dusting


• Laundry


• Dishwashing


• Bathroom and kitchen cleaning


• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time


• Follow all safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality

Physical & Working Conditions

Our office serves seniors in Victoria and surrounding communities, including James Bay, Saanich, Oak Bay, Gordon Head, etc. This position may require travel to those areas - we do our best to match you with clients in your area.
