Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to support clients in Canada. You will provide non-medical care, companionship, and light housekeeping in clients’ homes, following individualized care plans.

Strong communication, reliability, and a genuine desire to help others are essential. CPR/First Aid and a Vulnerable Sector check are required, with a valid driver’s license considered a bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (minimum requirement)
• CPR & First Aid certification
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with insurance is a bonus
• Dependable, punctual and committed to client care
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Genuine passion for helping others with honesty and integrity

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical in-home care according to each client’s Plan of Care
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities and social engagement
• Support emotional well-being and mental alertness
• Perform light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, cleaning bathrooms)
• Prepare meals for clients
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and team members
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time
• Participate in training, staff meetings and ongoing education
• Maintain confidentiality and use equipment safely
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Physical & Working Environment
