Job summary

Comfort Keepers of North Georgia is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home support to seniors in Victoria and surrounding areas. You will follow each client's Plan of Care to promote comfort, dignity, independence and quality of life.

This role involves companionship, light housekeeping, and documenting care notes, with training and travel between clients. A high school diploma, CPR/First Aid, a clean background check, a valid driver's license, and strong

• Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are considered strong assets.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions carefully.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care based on each client’s Plan of Care.
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement.
• Support clients’ emotional well-being and mental alertness.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties including: Vacuuming, Dusting, Laundry, Dishwashing, Bathroom and kitchen cleaning.
• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality.

Position Summary

The housekeeper provides companionship, emotional support, and light household assistance to clients while following each client’s individualized Plan of Care. This role plays an important part in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

Physical & Working Conditions

• Regular physical activity including walking, standing, bending, reaching, and light lifting (up to 12 kg / 25 lbs)
• Manual dexterity and strength in both hands required

• Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
• Work performed within clients’ homes in the community

Our office serves seniors in Victoria and surrounding communities, including James Bay, Saanich, Oak Bay, Gordon Head, etc. This position may require travel to those areas – we do our best to match you with clients in your area.
