Job summary

Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking compassionate, dependable housekeepers to provide non-medical in-home support for seniors in the Victoria area. You will promote comfort, dignity and independence, building meaningful relationships while delivering quality client care.

This role involves companionship, light housekeeping, and accurate documentation, with training and ongoing support. A reliable vehicle and CPR/First Aid certification are valued assets.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and non-medical care based on client's care plan.

• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time.

Position Summary

The housekeeper provides companionship, emotional support, and light household assistance to clients while following each client's individualized Plan of Care. This role plays an important part in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care based on each client's Plan of Care
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement
• Support clients' emotional well-being and mental alertness
• Assist with light housekeeping duties including:
  • Vacuuming
  • Dusting
  • Laundry
  • Dishwashing
  • Bathroom and kitchen cleaning
• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement)
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are considered strong assets

Physical & Working Conditions

Location

Our office serves seniors in Victoria and surrounding communities, including James Bay, Saanich, Oak Bay, Gordon Head, etc. This position may require travel to those areas - we do our best to match you with clients in your area.
