Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Victoria, BC is seeking a housekeeper to provide non-medical in-home support, companionship, and light housekeeping per each client's Plan of Care.

The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and independence; CPR/First Aid, a police check, and reliable transportation are required. Join a compassionate team providing meaningful care in clients' homes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement).
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are considered strong assets.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical care based on each client's Plan of Care.
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement.
• Support clients’ emotional well-being and mental alertness.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties including vacuuming, dusting, laundry, dishwashing, and bathroom/kitchen cleaning.
• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality.

Position Summary

The housekeeper provides companionship, emotional support, and light household assistance to clients while following each client's individualized Plan of Care. This role plays an important part in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care based on each client's Plan of Care


• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement


• Support clients’ emotional well-being and mental alertness


• Assist with light housekeeping duties including:


• Vacuuming


• Dusting


• Laundry


• Dishwashing


• Bathroom and kitchen cleaning


• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time


• Follow all safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality

Qualifications & Requirements

Our office serves seniors in Victoria and surrounding communities, including James Bay, Saanich, Oak Bay, Gordon Head, etc. This position may require travel to those areas - we do our best to match you with clients in your area.
