Job summary

Gray Collection is seeking a friendly and organized Host(ess) to be the first point of contact for guests in our Montreal dining room. You will welcome guests, manage reservations, and support the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

The role requires at least one year in a similar position, strong bilingual communication in English and French, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a similar position.
• Strong customer service skills.

• Excellent communication skills in both English and French, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Manage dining room reservations
• Ensure menus are clean, organized, and in excellent condition
• Greet guests upon arrival, assign tables according to the established floor plan, escort them to their tables, and adjust place settings as needed
• Assist the dining room team whenever necessary during service
• Thank guests upon departure, inquire about their satisfaction, and encourage them to return
• Ensure the cleanliness of the host stand, restrooms, and dining room
• Answer telephone calls according to established procedures
• Perform any other related duties required to ensure the smooth operation of dining room service.
