Qualifications

• Graduate Medical Office Program preferred.

• Expert Meditech Registration knowledge.
• Previous Switchboard/Admitting/Registration experience in a healthcare setting.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel) and hospital information systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate departments; handle paging, outages, and emergencies.
• Register patients accurately in the hospital system with current information.
• Know downtime procedures for phone system and HIS; follow department protocols.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with Privacy Act and policies.
• Assist with file sorting, chart creation, and organizing patient information.
