Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) seeks a Home and Electronics Sales Associate to support CAF members and their families in a retail environment. You will help set up electronics, computers, appliances and furniture departments, and provide expert sales guidance.

You will also handle stock, signage, warranty upsell, and operate POS systems. You may assist with food/beverage orders and maintain a high standard of customer service in a team-focused, on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and point-of-sale operations.

THE ROLE

As a Home and Electronics Sales Associate, you provide retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You assist in the set-up of the electronics, computers, appliances, and furniture departments and provide technical and professional advice on sales and products offered. You assist with ordering stock and ensure that shelves are stocked, faced, and properly signed. You explain and sell extended warranty programs and accessories.

The Home and Electronics Sales Associate may also provide a variety of other retail services, including regular retail services, dry cleaning, lottery services, self-serve gas services, and postal services. You will operate Point of Sales systems, the debit/credit machine, and maintain a float. You may take and prepare food and beverage orders and prepare takeout food, while ensuring cleanliness of food service and eating areas.

Experience

• In electronics, computers equipment, furniture and appliances
• In selling extended warranty and accessories
• In cash handling
• In sales and merchandising
