Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) invites applications for a Department Associate, supporting CAF members and their families with retail services. You will help set up departments, stock shelves, ensure accurate signage, and provide guidance on products and sales to resolve customer concerns.

Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and service efficiency is essential. You may also perform ancillary services such as dry cleaning, lottery, gas, and postal operations, while

  • Address customer concerns or complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide services including dry cleaning, lottery, self-serve gas and postal services.

THE ROLE

As a Department Associate, you provide retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You assist in the set-up of various departments ensuring shelves are stocked, and faced, and properly signed. You provide technical and professional guidance on sales and products and deal with customer concerns or complaints to ensure customer satisfaction. You assist with ordering products and price new inventory. The Department Associate may also provide a variety of other retail services, including regular retail services, dry cleaning, lottery services, self-serve gas services, and postal services. You will operate Point of Sales systems, the debit/credit machine, and maintain a float. You may take and prepare food and beverage orders and prepare takeout food, while ensuring cleanliness of food service and eating areas.
