Job summary

CFMWS in Canada seeks a Clerk Cashier (ESSOExpressmart) to deliver retail service to CAF members and their families. You will operate POS systems, handle cash, process food and beverage orders, and assist with credit plan applications while maintaining accuracy and customer focus.

This on-site role requires attention to shelf presentation, cleanliness, and a friendly, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment that supports military communities.

Qualifications

• An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
• Food Handling Certification, as required.
• Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (Quebec), as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular retail services to CAF members and their families.

THE ROLE

As a Clerk Cashier (ESSOExpressmart), you provide retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You may provide a variety of services, including regular retail services, dry cleaning, lottery services, self-serve gas services, postal services, and assisting CAF members with credit plan applications. You will operate Point of Sales systems, the debit/credit machine and maintain a float.

The Clerk Cashier (ESSOExpressmart) responds to enquiries from customers providing them with information on merchandising and ensuring the store shelves are stocked, faced, and properly signed. You may take and prepare food and beverage orders and prepare takeout food, while ensuring cleanliness of food service and eating areas.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licences

• An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience
• Food Handling Certification, as required
